The district of Neuburg-Schrobenhausen has engaged Markus Poppler for its healthcare facilities as part of the management contract with Oberender AG. He succeeds the previous Managing Director Dr. Holger Koch, who is leaving the hospital group at his own request.
In the Upper Bavarian district of Neuburg-Schrobenhausen, Markus Poppler takes over as Managing Director of the district’s own healthcare facilities, which include the Schrobenhausen District Hospital and the Neuburg Geriatric Center as a geriatric rehabilitation facility. The 40-year-old, who has a degree in business administration as well as a master’s degree in business administration with a focus on business law, also brings the valuable experience of his training as a registered nurse to day-to-day operations.
Markus Poppler has been working in the healthcare sector for over 20 years. In recent years, he has been active as Managing Director of the Espachstift, a retirement and nursing home in Kaufbeuren. Prior to this, he was head of the clinic at the Ritzensee Private Clinic in Zell am See. From March 2024, the Eichstätt native will assume responsibility for the municipal clinics in Neuburg-Schrobenhausen with their 850 employees.
