In a multi-year management mandate (3 years and longer), we contribute our own expertise and know-how in the management and restructuring of hospitals and other service providers.

Interim Management

Sometimes the shoe does not pinch in the entire service portfolio. Interim management is always in demand when management expertise is needed at the executive level for a limited period of time and often at very short notice. Oberender AG meets the demand for short-term availability of the best management competence for the healthcare sector, especially in the hospital market. For a limited period of several months, experienced managing directors from the Oberender AG network take on management responsibility in order to implement the specific target set by the sponsoring organization. This can be extensive and demanding in various ways, from accompanying the search for a permanently employed managing director to managing an intended change of sponsor.

Important project steps and milestones around hospital management

A long-term management mandate requires a clear roadmap for implementation. With a 100-day program, we ensure clarity and define the decisive action areas that are necessary to improve the current result. Among other things, the 100-day program states:

  • Who does what?
  • How long will the implementation take?
  • What effect on results can be expected?

 

The roadmap then includes tasks that the Supervisory Board decides on how to implement. The new hospital management then decides on other tasks. Nevertheless, the entire plan is presented to the supervisory board and approved. Some points can be implemented in the short term, for example a change in the purchasing company, but for topics such as referral management, more time is often needed for implementation.
