Research & Policy

The Oberender Research Institute focuses on the market situation in the entire healthcare sector. For this, we use the knowledge pool from years of project experience as well as our own databases.

This is the Oberender Research Institute

Almost all management decisions require valid figures, a comprehensive market study or even benchmarking. This data supports the decision-making process. This is why the cooperation between Oberender consultants and our own research institute is a natural part of our projects.

With our university-oriented structure, it makes sense for us to have our own research institute. For us, it is also a productive core task that scientifically supports non-evidence-based expert knowledge. In a continuous process, market data and important information from the healthcare sector are collected and prepared for the consulting teams and clients in such a way that recommendations for action and management decisions can be derived and made on a sound and reliable basis.

The focal points in the area of Research & Policy

We focus on these topics.

The focus of our work is on consulting, management and the design of service provision. This also determines the focus of the topics that we primarily work on

  • Management of healthcare facilities
  • Care concepts and remuneration models
  • Health markets
  • Selected regulatory issues
  • Digitalization and AI

How we implement the topics

The institute works internally and externally. This means that even without a specific customer order, we continuously prepare analyses on current developments, evaluate data on market developments and prepare assessments on current health policy developments. In order to continuously achieve the best results in the field of analytics, we develop tools and optimize them using the latest digital technologies. On behalf of clients, we produce comprehensive papers that address fundamental conceptual and regulatory issues – usually with the specific aim of further strengthening and improving the German healthcare system (policy paper / white paper). An expert assessment of a specific issue is also frequently requested.
